Airjet reeds can be exposed to friction problems in particular in case of high-speed weaving machines and/or existence of abrasive particles in the yarn. In this circumstance, the reed will have a shorter lifetime due to high friction between the yarns and reed dents. To increase the reed lifetime, we can upgrade the reeds with the use of coated dents in quality DLC or our new DLC MAX.
In some specific conditions, even standard DLC dents are not resistant enough so we have developed also DLC MAX dents where the surface hardness ranks second only to diamond films in terms of surface hardness (HV).
Our new DLC MAX triple coatings guarantee the highest durability and wear resistance.
